To me, the news of the final Harry Potter film, "The Deathly Hallows" is just freakin' cool. After reading the conclusion of the book series, this one will most definitely be the most heart-wrenching one. I will post no spoiler here, because if you haven't read it and you're a HP fan, you must pick it up. If you're not a HP fan, then you will have to hear about it from the movie fans who DO go see it for years to come....
Anyway, two movies for the final installment. I hated that the HP films were getting closer to coming to an end, so this is good news for me. I look forward to going to theaters and seeing them. I've read "Sorcerer's Stone," part of "Chamber of Secrets," part of "Order of the Phoenix," all of "The Half-Blood Prince," and all of "The Deathly Hallows." It's really about to get good with "Half-Blood Prince," but "Deathly Hallows" is about as dark as you can get when it comes to Harry Potter. It really delves into some dark themes, especially death. Really good stuff, IMHO

I like they are gonna split it into 2 films I just wonder how they are gonna deal with the age difference of the stars. I mean they'll prob shoot the last 2 at the same time but up until that point, well they are getting a bit old to play the part. I mean I dont see how they are gonna pull off the whole series with Radcliffe and it be believable unless thats how the books are. And maybe they are Im first in line to tell you I havent read the books but they seem very appealing.

What I was trying to say and I failed, judging on re-reading it, is that I dont see how they can keep casting an older Radcliffe as Potter unless the books show his growth too. And, like I tried to say, maybe they do. I just don't know.

Yeah, he is supposed to grow older throughout the books. Each of the 7 books covers a year at Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After the 7th year is when the student is supposed to graduate and move on to a job in the wizarding world.
Harry starts out as an 11-year old, and is supposed to be 17 in the last one.
I know to old farts like me, it's not supposed to be "cool" and it may even seem childish, but the last book is just plain evil, and each one leading up to it gets more and more dramatic and dark.
I personally wasn't that impressed with the series when I first saw "The Sorcerer's Stone," but when Azkaban hit theaters, I was an instant fan. I went back and read some of the books, and I could appreciate them more because I knew a little bit about what I was reading, and what to expect.
It's really a vast, well laid out world, and the books spin the tale perfectly.

Really! That is brilliant news, I just checked the articles. But yeah, Dan, Rup and Em would be too old by then. Wouldn't it be awesome if they had a TV series for Harry Potter. About an episode for every 1-2 chapter? Just my opinion.
Also, I agree with J.T. I loved the third book the most probably. It was such an easy read. Though I never was a reader till after HBP, THEN I started reading. I'm slow at all the popular stuff in this modern world.

The only reason why I say the actors and actresses won't be too old for the movies is because I've seen some pretty burly, old looking 17-year olds, which is how old they are supposed to be in the final installment. Also, they say that working with Tom Felton, he turned like 6 foot in Goblet of Fire, I think, so they had to work around that with their camera angles.
That would be kind of cool to see a TV show, but being a Harry Potter fan, I would almost hate to see anyone else as Harry Potter other than Radcliffe. Or any of the other characters being played by different actors, for that matter. But, I would like to see a Harry Potter comic book (a graphic novel. Man, that'd be awesome!)

How much more is the Harry Potter series doing beyond this? I hope they keep it genuine and not try to milk it beyond this. BTW I found this clip on YouTube on Harry Potter. It's pretty funny. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3u5lB5uLT7s

Pretty cool.
The HP series is 7 books long, and Half-Blood Prince is book 6, so they'll have 2 more movies after that, from what I hear.
